Commercial Litigation Paralegal

Role Description

The Commercial Litigation Paralegal is a full-time, on-site role based in Dallas, TX. This position supports attorneys in complex commercial and business litigation by drafting and organizing pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, and maintaining case files and document management systems. Daily responsibilities include conducting factual and legal research, assisting with discovery requests and responses, reviewing and summarizing documents, and preparing exhibits and chronologies. The paralegal will coordinate with clients, experts, and third parties for information gathering, schedule management, and production of records, and will help prepare for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial. The role requires strong attention to detail, proactive case management, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, trial-oriented environment.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong skills in legal document preparation and management, including organizing case files and drafting litigation-related documents.
Candidates should possess skills in document review and analysis, including summarizing records, identifying key evidence, and supporting discovery workflows.
Candidates should possess legal research skills, including using legal databases, reviewing case law and statutes, and preparing concise research summaries.
Candidates should possess experience drafting and formatting pleadings and motions, ensuring accuracy, compliance with court rules, and timely filing.
Candidates must have experience going to trial and assisting attorneys through trials.
Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience in commercial litigation; prior work in trial-focused or complex business litigation environments is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and common litigation support or e-discovery tools.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines, work independently, and collaborate effectively with attorneys and staff in an on-site setting.
Experience with state and federal court procedures, e-filing systems, and trial preparation (exhibit lists, witness files, hearing binders) is beneficial.
