Immediate need of a Sr. Project Manager Municipal Civil / Roadway - Hybrid & Fulltime in Anaheim, CA

About the Opportunity:
• We're looking for an experienced California PE to lead municipal civil engineering projects throughout Southern California. We work almost exclusively with public agencies, designing and managing streets, roadway rehabilitation, parkways, widening, beautification, and other CIP improvements for cities throughout the region.
• This is a senior role for someone who knows how to take a project from kickoff through final design and construction support, manage agency clients, guide younger engineers, and keep projects moving. We are not looking for a land development PM or someone who has only managed consultants from a distance. We need someone who has actually delivered municipal public works design projects.

What you'll do:
• Manage street, roadway, parkway, and municipal CIP projects from kickoff through construction
• Serve as the primary point of contact for City Engineers, Public Works Directors, and agency project managers
• Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, and project work plans
• Lead and coordinate engineering staff and subconsultants
• Provide technical direction and QA/QC
• Review plans, specifications, estimates, and design calculations
• Participate in client meetings, proposal interviews, and business development
• Mentor younger engineers and help strengthen our engineering team
• Work directly with Onward leadership on project delivery and client relationships

What we're looking for:
• California Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 15+ years of civil engineering experience
• Significant experience designing and managing municipal street, roadway, or public works projects
• Strong understanding of Caltrans standards, the Greenbook, ADA requirements, and local agency standards
• Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D
• Experience managing public-agency clients and consultant teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities without losing sight of deadlines or commitments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable leading client meetings and proposal interviews
• Someone who enjoys developing younger engineers and wants to play a meaningful role in building a growing engineering practice
