BIM Coordination Specialist

The BIM Coordination Specialist is responsible for leading and managing the full BIM coordination process across construction projects. This role ensures that multi-trade models are aligned, clashes are resolved efficiently, and coordinated models support fabrication, installation, and field execution.

Responsibilities

Lead BIM coordination from project kickoff through completion

Plan and manage coordination schedules, meetings, and deliverables

Facilitate coordination meetings with contractors and trade partners

Perform clash detection and drive issue resolution to closure

Manage and aggregate multi-trade models using tools like Navisworks and Revit

Ensure models meet LOD requirements and project standards

Track and assign coordination issues and verify resolutions

Maintain model organization, naming conventions, and version control

Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and stakeholders

Support construction teams with coordinated models and documentation

Enforce BIM standards and contribute to process improvements

Qualifications

Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)

3+ years of BIM/VDC or coordination experience

Proficiency in Navisworks, Revit, or similar BIM tools

Experience leading coordination meetings and managing clash detection

Strong understanding of construction sequencing and trade coordination

Experience in MEP, fabrication, or design-build environments

Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
