BIM/Revit Detailer

Job Summary

Seeking a BIM/Revit Detailer to develop accurate 2D construction drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation for building systems. This role involves translating design plans and engineering specifications into detailed, construction-ready models while ensuring compliance with project requirements and applicable building codes.

The successful candidate will collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, and construction teams to coordinate building systems, revise models as needed, and support efficient project execution.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed 2D drawings and 3D building models using Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant BIM/CAD software.

Prepare construction details, technical drawings, material specifications, and installation documentation.

Interpret architectural and engineering drawings, design schematics, and project specifications.

Coordinate building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural components.

Review models and drawings for accuracy, constructability, code compliance, and adherence to project requirements.

Update drawings and models based on design changes, client feedback, and coordination reviews.

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to resolve design conflicts and improve coordination.

Support project presentations and design visualization using relevant modeling or graphic design tools.

Qualifications

Experience in BIM modeling, Revit detailing, CAD drafting, or construction documentation.

Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD or comparable BIM/CAD platforms.

Strong understanding of 2D drafting, 3D modeling, construction drawings, and technical documentation.

Familiarity with building systems and coordination across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural disciplines.

Ability to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and construction specifications.

Understanding of applicable building codes, regulatory requirements, and construction standards.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage revisions accurately.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams.

Experience with additional tools such as ArchiCAD, MicroStation, SketchUp, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper, or SolidWorks is beneficial.
