Are you trustworthy, reliable, available, caring, and knowledgeable?
If so, we would like to introduce ourselves and offer you an opportunity to join our team.
We are an entrepreneurial business law firm that is on track for aggressive growth. We need an experienced litigation attorney to join our team and work directly with the owners and attorneys to support the team and help our clients.
We want to be known for giving our clients the clarity they need to make better business decisions which cause them to have better lives. We want them to know that they have a team behind them that really cares and makes a difference for them.
Our clients are diverse. Some discover us through paid online marketing, while others are referred by attorneys and accountants. We have clients who are wealthy and others who are living from paycheck to paycheck. We serve clients based in the US, India, and other countries. Our clients include both individuals and public companies abroad. They hail from a wide range of cultures and ethnicities, and our clientele consists of families as well as affiliated entities. The ideal candidate must show the utmost respect to each of them while providing caring and professional legal services.
Our five core values make our law firm special: Trustworthy. Reliable. Available. Caring. Knowledgeable (TRACK).
· Being "trustworthy" means we care for our clients' interests as if they were our own.

· Being "available" means we are flexible with how and when we communicate with clients.
· Being “caring” means we express compassion for our clients’ adverse situations, and we take action to alleviate their anxiety and their difficulties.
· Being “knowledgeable” means we use our experience and skills in the areas applicable to each client’s situation.
Each of our team members is:

We are seeking a full-time senior litigation attorney licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey. We want an attorney with at least five years of litigation experience who is comfortable independently managing matters and interacting directly with business owners.
The ideal candidate should have substantial experience in these areas:
1. Commercial litigation, particularly contract disputes between business owners and other commercial parties.
2. Business litigation, particularly disputes among owners of the same business.
3. Independently managing litigation matters from initiation through resolution.
4. Preparing, reviewing, and filing pleadings, motions, briefs, certifications, and other court submissions.
5. Handling court appearances, hearings, and oral arguments.
6. Managing discovery, including document discovery, written discovery, and depositions.
7. Conducting legal and factual research and developing litigation strategy based on the facts, applicable law, the client's objectives, and the risks involved.
8. Communicating directly and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties involved in a matter.
9. Drafting demand letters, responses to demands, settlement communications, and other correspondence with opposing parties and counsel.
10. Evaluating claims, defenses, potential exposure, available remedies, and the practical advantages and disadvantages of different litigation strategies.
11. Negotiating settlements and advising clients regarding negotiation, mediation, arbitration, litigation, and other potential methods of resolving a dispute.
12. Managing litigation deadlines, court rules, filings, and case responsibilities without requiring significant day-to-day supervision.
Experience handling matters in both state and federal court is strongly preferred. Federal court admissions in New York and New Jersey, or the ability to obtain appropriate federal court admissions, are also preferred.
We want someone who can take ownership of a litigation matter. The attorney should be able to review the facts and documents, identify what additional information is needed, recognize upcoming deadlines and risks, determine what should happen next, communicate those recommendations clearly to the client and the team, and move the matter forward.
We don’t want an attorney who seeks to develop a book of business, who aspires to have their own firm or who is actually an entrepreneur at heart. We want someone who enjoys practicing law, who likes digging into complicated facts, who enjoys developing persuasive legal arguments, and who is energized by solving difficult disputes for clients.
If you get irritated when the facts, documents, deadlines, or legal issues are unclear or disorganized, and your instinct is to bring order and clarity to the situation, then you’re the attorney we want. If you can analyze a complicated dispute, identify what really matters, develop a strategy, and explain that strategy to anyone, young or old, sophisticated or novice, rich or poor, so that confusion becomes clarity for that individual, then you’re the attorney we want.
This position allows the attorney to work from home, and the internal interactions between the attorney and other team members will generally be remote. However, this is an active litigation position. The attorney will be expected to appear in court frequently and must be available to attend court appearances, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and other litigation-related proceedings in person when necessary.
Candidates should therefore be comfortable moving between remote legal work and regular in-person litigation responsibilities.
