Chevrolet Service Technician

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to perform routine maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing scheduled services, and accurately documenting all work performed.
The technician will work closely with service advisors and other team members to communicate findings, recommend necessary repairs, and ensure quality service. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing vehicles and is committed to maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service.
What You’ll Do
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle issues.
- Complete manufacturer-recommended maintenance and scheduled service work.
- Use diagnostic scanners, tools, and equipment to identify and resolve vehicle concerns.
- Read and interpret service manuals, technical bulletins, and diagnostic reports.
- Document diagnostic findings, repairs, and maintenance accurately in service records.
- Communicate findings and recommended repairs clearly to service advisors.
- Collaborate with service advisors and fellow technicians to maintain efficient shop operations.
- Follow established safety procedures, quality standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Continue learning about new automotive technologies, tools, and repair procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in automotive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle issues.
- Experience using diagnostic tools, scanners, and standard automotive repair equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, technical bulletins, and diagnostic reports.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to work full-time in an onsite, fast-paced service environment.
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical training or education in automotive technology.
- ASE certifications.
- Experience working with Chevrolet or other GM vehicles.
- Manufacturer-specific training and familiarity with dealership service procedures.

Additional Note: Chevrolet dealership experience is not mandatory, but it is a significant advantage. Candidates with mainline technician experience at the B-technician level or above should be prioritized. ASE certifications and GM training are preferred but not required.
