1st SHIFT POSITION

We have an opening for a CNC Machinist with programming expertise to machine custom components. This position is ideal for professionals with expertise in CNC Horizontal who thrive on machining complex, one-off parts rather than repetitive production work. The successful candidate will have strong setup and machining experience with CNC mills and boring operations, combined with programming proficiency.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Producing Quality parts on CNC Boring Mill, with minimal supervision.
Responsible for set-up, operation, and programming
Experience with Mastercam programming
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
Determine tooling, work holding, and machine setups for large, custom components.
Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam CAD/CAM software for boring and multi-axis milling operations.
Make program edits and machine adjustments to improve efficiency, accuracy, and part quality.
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and engineering specifications.
Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to maintain productivity.
Follow all safety and quality standards while meeting production deadlines.
Measures and marks dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as a guide for machining.
Operates a forklift and lifting devices for movement of parts.
Works with shop supervisor, engineers, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions.
Responsible for the enforcement of all Company Health, Safety and Environmental rules.
May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

3-5 years’ experience operating CNC HBM Machinist in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Proven experience operating CNC Horizontal Boring Mills
Capabilities: Ability to perform boring and multi-axis milling operations on custom, fabricated, and heavy components.
Strong setup experience machining large, custom, or low-volume components.
Required: Experience with G-code and/or M-code programming and interpretation for CNC machine control.
Required: Strong proficiency with Mastercam CAD/CAM software, including creating, editing, and optimizing CNC programs for boring and milling operations.
Experience with CNC program troubleshooting, toolpath optimization, and setup verification.
Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments, to include but not limited to calipers, ID & OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scales.
Knowledge of various tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, and inserts used on various machines.
SCHEDULE

Monday–Friday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM OR 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Optional Saturday hours: 7:00 AM–12:00 PM
Overtime paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
