field service engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of CNC machine tools, ensuring optimal machine performance at customer sites. This role involves diagnosing technical issues, providing prompt service solutions, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Install and commission CNC machine tools, including mechanical alignment, electrical connections, and control system setup (Fanuc, Siemens etc.)
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure machine reliability
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and control-related issues
• Adjust and troubleshoot CNC parameters, servo drives, and spindle systems
• Provide on-site and remote technical support for customers
• Prepare detailed service reports and maintain service records
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex technical problems
• Support customers during emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime

REQUIREMENTS
• 5+ years (Senior: 15+ years) of experience in CNC machine tool service or related field
• Strong knowledge of CNC control systems (Fanuc & Siemens) and G-code interpretation
• Hands-on experience with machine troubleshooting and repair (Strong technical mechanical/electrical skills)
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills – dealing with customers on a frequent basis and must be able to work independently

ERP SYSTEM
• Following up on machine problems, improvement, service conducted, spare parts and related matters.
• Follow up on recorded problems until they are resolved.
