Sales Representative

Role Description
This position is responsible for prospecting and qualifying new shippers, conducting outreach via phone, email, and in-person meetings to build a steady pipeline of freight opportunities. The role includes preparing and presenting quotes, negotiating rates and terms, and securing freight while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. The Sales Representative collaborates closely with operations and carrier sales teams to ensure loads are covered, shipments run smoothly, and service expectations are met. Daily activities also involve updating CRM systems, tracking performance metrics, and providing responsive, solutions-oriented support to customers.

Qualifications
Demonstrated sales skills, including prospecting, lead qualification, cold calling, and closing deals.
Strong customer relationship management abilities and experience using CRM or sales tracking tools.
Knowledge of freight brokerage, truckload and LTL transportation, or broader logistics and supply chain concepts (preferred).
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present solutions and negotiate rates confidently.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Ability to collaborate with operations teams, problem-solve shipment issues, and provide reliable customer service.
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, Logistics, or related field is a plus.
Prior experience in transportation sales, freight brokerage, or B2B sales is strongly preferred.
