Technical Food Scientist

We are looking for an experienced Food Scientist/ Application Manager with a strong background in Food Science to lead application development and provide technical support for natural food coloring products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in food product development, formulation, troubleshooting, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and support the food applications team across the Americas.
Work with the Sales team to understand customer requirements and develop suitable food color solutions.
Conduct product trials, color matching, formulation testing, and troubleshooting.
Evaluate product stability, quality, and performance across different food applications.
Support new product development, testing, validation, and product launch decisions.
Provide technical assistance to customers through meetings, demonstrations, workshops, and training sessions.
Develop technical documents, product application guides, reports, and training materials.
Train new employees and help improve the technical knowledge of the team.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Research & Development, and global technical teams.
Maintain laboratory standards and ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, and quality requirements.
Represent the company at industry trade shows and customer events.
Manage project tracking and coordinate multiple application projects.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science – mandatory. (PhD candidate is not required/ considered)
Minimum 7 years of experience in the food industry.
Experience in food product development, formulation, or applications.
Knowledge of food ingredients, analytical testing, product stability, and quality standards.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Previous experience leading a team or managing technical projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of CAP 2.0 and QlikView is preferred.

Other requirements/ Preferences:
Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm).
Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred experience with food colors, natural colorants, food ingredients, or color applications.
Background in product formulation, customer trials, and technical customer support.
Experience in bakery, beverages, dairy, confectionery, or other food product categories.
