Position Overview

PHASE Associates is seeking a Junior EHS Specialist to support safety, environmental health, and industrial hygiene consulting projects for clients throughout New Jersey and the surrounding region.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career EHS professional who wants to develop hands-on experience in workplace safety, regulatory compliance, industrial hygiene, and environmental health.

Key Responsibilities

Support EHS consulting and safety-related projects for clients across various industries.

Conduct workplace safety inspections and assist with identifying potential hazards.

Support hazard assessments, risk evaluations, and corrective action recommendations.

Assist with OSHA compliance activities and safety program implementation.

Participate in incident/accident investigations and prepare related documentation.

Assist with safety audits, inspections, and client reports.

Support workplace safety training and employee education programs.

Assist with industrial hygiene and environmental health assessments, as needed.

Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and reports.

Work closely with senior EHS and industrial hygiene professionals on client projects.

Travel to client sites as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred.

1–2 years of experience in EHS, safety, industrial hygiene, environmental consulting, or a related field.

Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to prepare clear and professional reports and documentation.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently as well as as part of a team.

Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
