Insurance Sales Representative

The client is looking for a sales producer who enjoys building relationships, uncovering business risks, and winning new clients. We’re an independent agency, which means you can work with multiple carriers to find coverage that fits a client’s needs.

NOTE from the Client:
We’re looking for a producer who can build new business and develop relationships in the Central Ohio market. We’re not looking for account managers or candidates seeking a fully remote role. please send a brief summary of their production experience and the types of accounts they’ve written

What you’ll do:
Build a pipeline through referrals, networking, centers of influence, and direct outreach.
Meet with business owners and decision makers to understand their operations, exposures, and current insurance program.
Work with our marketing and service teams to develop proposals and place coverage.
Present recommendations clearly, follow up consistently, and close new business.
Maintain strong client and referral relationships that lead to retention and additional opportunities.
Keep accurate pipeline and client activity records in Applied Epic.

What we’re looking for:
Proven success in commercial insurance sales or a related business development role.
A working knowledge of commercial property and casualty coverage, carrier submissions, and the sales process.
The ability to create opportunities and manage a pipeline without waiting for leads to be handed to you.
Strong judgment, follow-through, and a consultative approach with clients.
An active property and casualty license, or the ability to obtain one promptly.
Experience with construction, real estate, professional services, or other commercial accounts is welcome. An established network in Central Ohio is a plus.
