Zeiss CMM Programmer/Inspector

Full job description

As a Zeiss CMM Programmer/Inspector, you will combine Calypso programming skills with hands-on dimensional inspection to help verify that manufactured parts meet specifications. You will program and operate Zeiss coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), perform first-piece and in-process inspections, and share measurement results with manufacturing personnel to support quality verification throughout production.

Responsibilities

Develop and run dimensional inspection programs on Zeiss CMMs using Calypso software.

Perform first-piece and in-process dimensional inspections using CMM equipment to verify part dimensions.

Evaluate measurement results against specifications to determine part conformance.

Communicate first-piece and in-process inspection results clearly to manufacturing personnel to support production quality verification.

Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience with Zeiss CMMs.

Ability to program and operate Zeiss CMMs using Calypso software for dimensional inspection.

Ability to communicate inspection results effectively with manufacturing personnel.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Strong understanding of GD&T, shop math (geometry and trigonometry), blueprint reading, and hand-held precision tools (cal micrómeters, height gauges)
